1. Who should control the local public schools?
I believe that control of the local Public Schools should be handled directly by the District that
they reside in or by the region if the school is shared by more than one town. I also believe that a set
of Guidelines & Standards should be set at a Statewide level by a board of Educators chosen by the
people. Additionally, I think that WE as parents should be able to have a direct input as to where our
concerns are regarding the education of our children. Local PTA groups should have a direct say in the
hiring of teachers that will be teaching their children and the PTA groups should also have a voice in
regards to the evaluation of the teachers performance standards. No longer should Tenure be a guiding
factor rather a performance based achievement of students.
2. Do you support a voucher system, where tax payers can send their child and their tax dollars to a school of their choice, whether it be public, private, charter or home schooling?
Yes I do support a voucher system & encourage it. Having this form of a system in place will allow
for a higher standard of Education by putting underachieving schools, their administration and Teachers
on notice. We need not look any further than Rhode Island as to what happens when a vote of no
confidence in a particular schools Educational record is in question.
3. Who should control gun carry and ownership laws?
The 2nd Amendment of the United States Constitution allows me as a FREE law abiding citizen the
right to Keep & Bear Arms. Unless I have committed a crime that I have been found guilty by my peers,
than that right should not be breached. Each individual State should be able to enact & administer laws
that set standards for Punishment of Convicted Criminals that use Guns during a crime. The problem is
not the Law Abiding Citizens that Own & Carry Guns, but rather the Criminals that commit these acts of
violence to their fellow man. We Do Not Need the Federal Government to tell us what they feel is their
power to restrict & control Guns.
4. What will be your highest priority if you are elected?
If Elected in November, my priority will be to carry the voice of ALL citizens in New Hampshire's 1st
Congressional District to the House of Representatives. As the MESSENGER, I will convey to ALL of my
fellow Representatives, that I represent the Voice of the People as a whole, not as my own individual.
The message that I carry will be determined by the PEOPLE as it is their concern that will need to be
voiced!
5. Do you believe that illegal aliens should have the right to government welfare programs?
I believe that Illegal Aliens now know that by being here illegally that they Entitled to various aspects
of the Governmental Welfare programs and that is a motivation for them to come here Illegally. If we take
that option away from them and send a message to ALL Illegal Aliens that we are no longer footing the
bill for them, then I truly feel that they are less apt to come here knowingly that they will not be getting
these free services.
6. What is your solution to the energy crisis?
Being of a Maritime background I feel that the public is not aware of our practice of exporting oil
overseas and that they should be educated to that fact. In a free market world we have to do more
diligence in providing more affordable Energy sources. Where Fossil Fuels have drive the economy
for many years we have become accustomed to using Fossil Fuels as our energy source. Technology
is out there for Hydrogen Fuels, Nuclear Power, Wind Generation & Solar Energy, we just have
to make them more mainstream. We also have to get back to basics in regards to consumption!
7. Do you believe a senator and congressman must read a bill fully and thoroughly before voting on it?
Understanding a Bill that an Elected Official is to sign his or her name on goes without saying. Having
read that same bill should be essential. Additionally, having a bill that only reflects (1) item without
background earmarks attached will simplify the required reading. Sometimes LESS is better! I would also
like to see in place where the public can EASILY access a bill prior to its VOTE so that they can let their
Representative know how they want their vote counted in relation to that bill.
8. Do you support term limits?
Term Limits go without saying. 10 years for the HOR, 18 Years for the SENATE. I personally will
only serve for 8 years MAXIMUM if elected, after that I want to go back to being a COMMON CITIZEN.
9. Where exactly is the federal government currently spending too much?
Excessive spending in my opinion can be found in the Social Welfare program, Health Care & Fringe
programs.
10. Do you believe it is the responsibility of the federal government to stop global warming?
The Government should not be in the business of Global Warming Responsibility. CAP & TRADE
is a farce and does not change Gas House Emissions. Where does the actual money go that is paid for
these credits? Surely not back into the economy.
11. Do you believe the federal reserve should be thoroughly audited?
I believe that we need to scrap the TAX CODE and simplify the system. By having a FLAT TAX that
is FAIRLY set, and limiting spending to within the limits of the budget and balancing the same budget,
we can operate more efficiently as a country. I feel that a start towards that goad can come in the form
of an audit of the federal reserve, but that can become a very lengthy process. By initiating a FLAT TAX
directly and a spending FREEZE, a basis in which to start can be initiated.
12. Would you support a law that mandates teaching both creationism as well as evolution as theories in my public school science classes?
Public School teachings have become more liberalized over the last 40 to 50 years. Since that is
the case in my opinion, and having the beliefs that I do carry with me, I think that having creationism &
evolution being taught as theories in public schools will bring a balance to the thought process. I do not
and never have, liked the Government being in charge of Educational Administration. That power should
be brought back to the states. Should the only option being a MANDATE, I would support it to include
both aspects. The law would have to be concise and very smartly written.
13. Do you support a progressive form of taxation or a flat form of taxation?
I believe in a FLAT TAX! Let’s get everyone on the same page where the TAX is FAIR & EQUALL.
14. Do you support the health care reform bill and if not what type of bill would you support?
The current Health Care system is broken. It doesn’t work for the people that actually pay for it.
I think that we have set up a culture of free and easy health care for some individuals to abuse the
generosity of others. I do not believe that the Government should be in the Health Care business &
Administration. We do not nor have ever needed a Social Welfare state. I do think that Reform is needed.
15. What do you think is our most pressing family/social issue? (ie defense of marriage act, abortion etc.) What will you do to address it?
FAMILY VALUES! Over generations we have become a more tolerant society. Unfortunately we
have veered away from standard values of social conscience in becoming more tolerant. We have lost
the direct contact with our children as a whole and because of financial priorities we have les parents
at home with our children. Our beliefs of marriage have been tested by groups of alternative lifestyles
and we have been inundated with laws that try to make us more tolerant against our will. Where I am
PRO-LIFE, I am disheartened and saddened by the knowledge of Abortion. If our family values were
kept to a higher standard than this would probably not come into play. Abortion has given those free
will individuals a way to get away from the consequence of doing something they clearly know has an
outcome. An Easy Out so to say. To address the issue of abortion, if elected I would push to enact a
removal of federal funding that supports Federally financed Abortions via funding for the Teaching of
Abortion, The Financing of Public Financed Clinics that provide Abortions and I would do my best to have
that portion of the Health Care Bill removed.
16. Who should be responsible for the printing and managing of our currency?
CURRENCY! This question can possibly be the most pressing for the Economy. Currency in theory
should only represent the actual amount of means available w/ margin without bond. Therefore if we as
a common people charge the Government with the printing of the currency as a representation of the
countries actual means without bond including margin, then we should only have an amount of currency
in fluid assets accordingly. The Federal Reserve knows this. The Government as our representation
should only allow the printing of the currency accordingly. We as individual taxpaying citizens should hold
the Government accountable since they manage the Federal Reserve.
17. Should international law be used to influence national law?
International Law should not dictate how we as a SOVERIEGN Nation write & administer our
LAWS! The other countries of the World have their standards, We have ours. We do not have to like the
Laws of other countries only honor them when we are abroad, same goes for here in regards to our laws.
18. Should our legislators or judges be impeached for enacting unconstitutional legislation?
The CONSTITUTION of the UNITED STATES is in place. To go against it is a direct violation of it.
It is not open to interpretation. If it is to be changed it has to be done in the form of an Amendment by
the people. Where judges are appointed on a large scale in relation to Politics, the Constitution seems
to be misrepresented according to the interpretation. Therefore, if a Judge knowingly chooses to go
against the Constitution as written, then he should be held accountable as is those that he is to judge. No
Variance!
19. How do you view our constitution, as a fluid or absolute document?
As stated above, the Constitution of The United States is a written document not open to
interpretation. Should a change be needed, then it should be done in accordance to the rules set in place
and voted on by the people in the form of an Amendment.
20. Would you consider yourself pro-choice or pro-life?
As stated in my response to question #15, I am PRO-LIFE. There is no other way. God has given us
a gift. Who are we to change the rules of creation.
21. Would you support a bill providing amnesty to illegal aliens already living in the United States?
I would not support a bill to provide amnesty to Illegal Aliens already living in the United States. We
have the proper channels in place to Immigrate to our country.
22. Do you believe the stimulus bill is working and how?
I do not believe the stimulus bill is working. I say we should scrap the bill and return what is left of
the money and put it back into the states to redistribute the funds accordingly.
23. Do support a presidential line item veto power?
I believe that at some point, we have to have someone to make that Executive Decision but that
being said, that same individual has to be held accountable for making the decision of a VETO! Our
Democracy allows for a percentage of votes to be used for accounting purposes. Once the consensus
has been declared by the majority, then it is the Presidential power to sign the bill.
24. Would you have supported the Troubled Asset Relief Program bill?
Not being an accountant rather a layperson, I would not have supported this bill. By these lending
institutions not using good judgment in their practices should not be the problem of the Government
nor the citizens charged with funding the bailout. Understanding the economy in my own world of
finances I would have found this bill to be very one sided with only the Institutions in question to be
the benefactors. We can never go back in time, but we can learn from our mistakes. I think that the bill
had good intentions, but set a bad example. To eliminate the problem we should keep the government
out of the banking operations of lending institutions. What Government should do is hold these lending
institutions accountable for marginal lending practices. My question would have been at the time would
have been are these institutions sharing in the profit and given back to the consumers that have financed
the bailout? What would be in it for those that have footed the bailout?
25. Do you support line item voting for the house?
YES! I think that a bill should be what it is designed to be and not for the attachments included with
the bill.
26. Do you support line item voting for the senate?
YES! I think the Senate should have the same guidelines as in the House. The Senate should
receive a more streamlined version of the bill, but the same principals should be in place.
I thank you for including me in your survey.
I do not speak for others unless directed to accordingly so the above answers are a representation of my
views only. As is with all views from myself, I did not try to conform to any steering directive of the poll
rather as a true representation of my thoughts. If my views have offended anyone, I have not done so in
malice.
My Values and Convictions do not allow me to bring a false representation of who I am as a free will
individual.
I hope you will accept these somewhat late answers to your questioner.
