I believe in local control of schools.
2. Do you support a voucher system, where tax payers can send their child and their tax dollars to a school of their choice, whether it be public, private, charter or home schooling?
I support educational vouchers.
3. Who should control gun carry and ownership laws?
The Supreme Court has definitively ruled on the individual right of American citizens
to bear arms.
4. What will be your highest priority if you are elected?
My highest priority would be providing the private sector with an operating and
regulatory environment which promotes job creation. I also want to get the government
out of the practice of trying to compete with the private sector.
5. Do you believe that illegal aliens should have the right to government welfare programs?
No
6. What is your solution to the energy crisis?
The energy crisis is best solved by using our own resources including natural gas and
nuclear energy and researching other sources such as biomass, wind, air, hydro and solar
to make them more cost effective.
7. Do you believe a senator and congressman must read a bill fully and thoroughly before voting on it?
Yes
8. Do you support term limits?
Yes
9. Where exactly is the federal government currently spending too much?
We must look at entitlements, waste, defense contractors overcharging the
government, continuation of foreign wars and agricultural subsidies to large corporations.
10. Do you believe it is the responsibility of the federal government to stop global warming?
Given the global nature of climate changes, unilateral action by the US would be
futile.
11. Do you believe the federal reserve should be thoroughly audited?
All federal agencies and departments should be audited on a regular basis.
12. Would you support a law that mandates teaching both creationism as well as evolution as theories in my public school science classes?
I believe in local control of schools. It is up to individual school boards to vote on the
teaching of creationism in their schools.
13. Do you support a progressive form of taxation or a flat form of taxation?
I believe in progressive taxation.
14. Do you support the health care reform bill and if not what type of bill would you support?
I do not support the health care bill that was recently passed. I would support
legislation which allowed for the purchase of insurance across state lines to increase
competition, and included tort reform and some type of assistance for catastrophic
situations.
15. What do you think is our most pressing family/social issue? (ie defense of marriage act, abortion etc.) What will you do to address it?
Employment is the most pressing family issue because families cannot survive
without a roof over their heads and food on the table. I would promote an economic
agenda to foster job creation so that all parents could provide for their children.
16. Who should be responsible for the printing and managing of our currency?
The Department of the Treasury, Bureau of Engraving should continue to print our
currency. The Federal Reserve, acting as an independent government agency, should be
responsible for the formulation of monetary policy. It is critical that the Federal Reserve
maintains its independence from political pressures.
17. Should international law be used to influence national law?
International law has no place in determining the Constitutionality of our laws.
18. Should our legislators or judges be impeached for enacting unconstitutional legislation?
Legislators should always consider whether they think proposed laws are
constitutional but the Constitution assigns that ultimate decision to the Supreme Court.
The Constitution says, “ The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United
States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason,
Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors. “ I stand by the Constitution.

I am a strict Constructionist.

Pro Life

We live in a nation of laws. Those who violate the law should not be rewarded.

There is no evidence that such stimulus packages work. The so called stimulus bill
ballooned the deficit and did not create the jobs that were promised.

I support the presidential line item veto.

I would not have voted for the TARP.
